One other thing - I know that in CS6 some of the render options were only available to you if you had more than 1gb Graphics memory, I dont think that was the case with render clouds but might be worth checking. in the new photoshop cc, going to filters/render/lighting effects, the lighting effects is grayed out.if I then quite cc and reopen it works for a while Difference Clouds 17.0.1 ©1993-2016 Adobe Systems Incorporated - from the file ugin Photoshop: Lighting Effects greyed out. This is the single most common reason for the filters to be greyed out In fact, the answer most likely is staring us in the face, right beside the menu: Yes indeed, we are working with a file that has 16 bits per channel, clearly displayed as RGB/16 in the caption bar of the image.
What I mean to say is, that is seems not to be dependent on the version of Photoshop I did the hard disk swap again yesterday and I could see the differences.
The strange thing is, render flames worked with the original hard drive.
Even more, almost all of the 3D menu also is greyed out.
